Villa Megalo sits steps from the sands of Lia Beach on the east coast of Mykonos. Eleven bedrooms, a fifteen-metre infinity pool, a heated Jacuzzi, al fresco dining for sixteen and lush Mediterranean gardens. The whole villa is exclusively yours for the week.

Villa Megalo sits in Kalafati on the east coast of Mykonos, quieter than the main town, steps from the sea, and away from the tourist crowds. Lia Beach is right there: crystal-clear water, the elegant beach club Liasti with restaurant, bar and sunbeds, even a diving centre for those who want it.
Mykonos Town is twenty minutes by car, reachable for a morning explore, then back for a long dinner at the villa. Flying in: easyJet and BA both serve Mykonos JMK from London. September is shoulder season: fewer crowds, 26°C, the sea still warm.

Day 1
Tuesday 29th September
Arrival
You land, the heat hits, and the villa appears at the top of the hill with the Aegean stretching out behind it. Bags down, a drink in hand, faces you don't recognise yet. By the time the first dinner is served, that won't be true any more. Long table, candlelight, the kind of conversation that only starts because nobody has anywhere else to be.
Day 2
Wednesday 30th September
Beach & cookery class
Breakfast on the terrace, then a walk down to Lia beach, white sand and water so clear you can see your feet ten metres out. Lunch at a local taverna, the kind with no menu translation and no need for one. From there it splits: a boat out to dive the reefs, or a slow afternoon by the pool with a book you won't finish. As the sun drops, cocktails on the terrace lead into a hands-on cookery class with the chef, learning the dishes you'll be eating all week, then sitting down to eat the meal you just made together.
Day 3
Thursday 1st October
Hike & sailing
An early start, before the heat, climbing the trails above the villa with the whole island laid out below. Brunch waiting when you're back. Then a yacht for the afternoon, half a day on open water, music, sundowners as the light turns gold over the Aegean. Dinner back at the villa, salt still on your skin.
Day 4
Friday 2nd October
Mykonos Town & final dinner
A morning in Mykonos Town, white-washed lanes, windmills, the harbour, coffee somewhere with a view. Back to the villa for a light lunch before the final evening: a Greek barbecue under the stars, the chef cooking outdoors, cocktails flowing, the group that arrived as strangers four nights ago now impossible to imagine not knowing.
Day 5
Saturday 3rd October
Farewell
One last breakfast on the terrace, slower than the others, nobody quite ready to leave. Numbers exchanged, plans half-made to do this again. Then the villa empties, the way it always does, leaving everyone a little different to how they arrived.
